This year will be my 8th year in organising a Roxy’s Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council.
Each year I have managed to better the year before and have had a load of fun along the way.
Back in 2011 a group of 4 friends decided to hold a morning tea to raise money for the Cancer Council for the first time. We approached our local hotel who very kindly agreed to let us hold the morning tea there, we then realized we needed food and prizes for our raffles so we started approaching businesses for donations. The day was a huge success and this was just the beginning of our journey. Over the past 7 years Roxy’s Biggest Morning Tea has raised an amazing total over $25,000 for the Cancer Council.
It is now 8 years on and with the other girls all having other commitments I continued this journey for the second year on my own with help from my family and friends, as this sadly became very important due to cancer touching my Dad and now my younger cousin and at this stage her battle isn’t looking positive.
So on Friday the 25th of May 2018 at 10.30am in Roxburgh Park Victoria I will host a fun filled morning tea, we also normally have moments that make us cry but mostly lots of laughter. During the morning we also have raffles, Auctions and silent Auctions, Mystery Bags filled with all types of gifts, samples, vouchers and much more, a spinning wheel and door prizes, along with loads and loads of fun and of course a morning tea.
With the help of Bella Fever I would love to have something precious, meaningful, gorgeous and unique as a prize on the day. I would also love to include Belle Fever in the 100 mystery bags sold on the day.
We all know how precious family and friends are and how special moments are treasured forever. Looking at Belle Fever’s website I found so many wonderful personalised gifts that I’m sure everyone would love.
The Cancer Council is a non-profit cancer charity organisation and is involved in cancer research, patient support and cancer prevention. Hosting Roxy’s Biggest Morning tea is my way of helping by raising much needed money and raise awareness for a cause close to my heart.

Fighting Cancer or losing a love one is always extremely painful and emotional, sadly Cancer is affecting far too many families, with a special piece of jewellery we can treasure the special moments and create a family heirloom for years to come.
